Forwarding fees are calculated based on chargeable weight (the greater of actual weight vs. volumetric weight). Air freight is billed per kg; sea freight is billed per CBM. Minimum charges apply. Please contact our customer service with your tracking number and order details as soon as possible. We will match your parcel manually. To avoid delays, always pre-declare your parcels on this platform before shipping.
Use the warehouse address shown in your Dashboard under "My Warehouse Addresses". Always include your Personal Code in the recipient name field so we can identify your parcel.
Yes! All parcels in our warehouse — whether self-forwarded or sourced by us — appear in My Warehouse. You can select any combination and submit them for international shipping together.
All parcels are inspected upon arrival. We check that the outer packaging is intact and matches your declaration. Items will be photographed and logged. Prohibited items will be rejected and returned at your cost.
Please contact customer service within 72 hours of the issue being identified. We will coordinate with you on the return shipment. Return freight costs are borne by the customer unless the error is on our side.
Pending Arrival → Arrived → Being Weighed → Awaiting Payment → Payment Confirmed → Being Packed → Shipped → In Transit → Customs Clearance → Delivered. You can track your parcel status in real time from your dashboard.
Most sellers ship within 1-3 business days after payment is confirmed. You will receive a status update when the seller ships.
Domestic China delivery to our warehouse typically takes 2-5 business days depending on the seller location and carrier.
Our sourcing service fee is 5% of the product value (CNY), with a minimum fee of ¥5 per order. This covers purchasing, inspection, and warehousing.
Pending Payment → Processing → Ordered → Shipped (by seller) → Received at Warehouse → Inspected → In Warehouse → Ready to Ship. Status updates are shown in your Sourcing Orders tab.
You can request cancellation before the order status reaches "Ordered". Once the seller has shipped, cancellation requires coordination with the seller and may not always be possible. Contact customer service for assistance.
Standard storage: 90 days from the date goods are logged as "In Warehouse". Goods not collected or shipped within 90 days will be disposed of. Unmatched parcels: 30-day limit from date of receipt.

Shipping Guide
Yes — this is one of our core services. All parcels in My Warehouse can be selected and combined into a single international shipment, saving you on shipping costs.
Self-declaration: you provide accurate item names, quantities, and values for customs. General declaration: we handle standard declaration. For high-value or sensitive items, self-declaration is recommended to avoid customs issues.
Orders submitted before 12:00 noon are typically processed the same day. Orders after 12:00 noon are processed the next business day.
Prohibited items include: dangerous goods, flammable/explosive materials, counterfeit products, live animals, illegal substances, and items restricted by South African customs.
Air freight: Chargeable weight = MAX (actual weight, volumetric weight). Volumetric weight = L x W x H (cm) divided by 6000. Sea freight: Chargeable CBM = MAX (actual CBM, weight divided by 500). Minimum 0.5 CBM for sea.
South Africa applies VAT (15%) and customs duty on imported goods. The duty-free threshold for personal imports is R500. We cannot guarantee that your parcel will not be subject to duty — this is at the discretion of SARS customs. Like any other country, whenever you are importing products from China, you need to pay the customs duty to the South African government ranging from 0 (free) up to 60%. The customs department has tariffs following by the HS codes related to each product or goods category, which is necessary to pay by the importer. For example, if you’re importing women’s suits from China, you will have to pay 40% customs duty. That means, if the final value of your import is around 1,000 ZAR, so by adding the customs duty, the total cost will be 1,400 ZAR. While you can explore the entire tariff list on the SARS official website to know the import duties from China to South Africa. Here are a few goods along with their customs duty for your understanding. Women Jackets Tariff code: 6104.31 Material: Wool, cotton, synthetic fibers, or other material Customs duty: 45% per unit Men Overcoats Tariff code: 6101.20 Material: Cotton, man-made fibers, or other materials Customs duty: 40% per unit Worn Clothing – Car Coats, Raincoats, Etc. Tariff code: 6309.00.13 Material: Any fabric material Customs duty: 60% per kilogram Toilet Paper Tariff code: 4818.10 Material: Paper Customs duty: 20% per kilogram Contrarily, there are many several goods on which the customs duty is zero or free, like: Natural honey: 0410.00.10 Fresh sweet potatoes: 0714.20.20 Human hair/used to manufacture article hairpieces: 0501.00 Coffee Arabica/ unroasted and not decaffeinated: 0901.11.10 Milk and cream/ without additional sugar or sweetening material: 0401.10.07 Calculating Customs Duty in South Africa The customs duty on imported goods in South Africa also includes: Anti-dumping and countervailing duties Value- added tax (VAT) That means, if the customs duty of any product is 20% in the tariff list, you will also have to add the anti-dumping duties (if applicable on your imported goods) and the VAT. Example: If You Are Importing Women Jackets from China to South Africa Imagine you are importing into South Africa 100 pieces of women’s jackets from China. Each unit costs around 10 ZAR, making 10,000 ZAR as the total goods value. The anti-dumping duty is 0 and the VAT is 15%. Here’s what your overall customs duty would be: Customs Duty = Goods Value in ZAR × Customs Duty as mentioned in the tariff list + Goods Value in ZAR × 10% (goods is from non-BLNS countries*) Customs Duty = 10,000 ZAR × 45% + 10,000 ZAR × 10% Customs Duty = 5,500 ZAR * where the origin of such goods is from non-BLNS countries (Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia, and Eswatini), the goods are subject to an upliftment of the VAT value by a factor of 10%, in the calculation of VAT payable at the time of clearance into the Republic of South Africa. It means the customs duty without VAT is 5,500 ZAR. Now, let’s calculate the value-added tax. Value-added tax = (Goods Value + Customs Duty) × 15% Value-added tax = (10,000 + 5,500) × 15% Value-added tax = 2325 ZAR It means you have to pay 2,325 ZAR as a value-added tax So the total duty including customs duty and VAT on importing 100 units of women jackets at a total price of 10,000 ZAR will be 2325 + 5500 = 7825 ZAR. Note: SARS announced on 8 August 2024 a phased approach to amending the current customs duty system. Currently, local retailers pay 45% customs duties and 15% VAT on imported goods. However, imported items worth less than ZAR500 are exempted from VAT and pay a flat rate of 20% in customs duties.

After-sales Service
Use the Track function on the "Track Parcel" page or in your Dashboard. Enter your ChinaShip tracking number to see real-time status updates.
International tracking updates can lag by 24-48 hours, especially during customs clearance or transit between countries. If there is no update for more than 5 days, please contact customer service.
1. Always inspect your parcel in front of the delivery person before signing. Note any damage on the delivery slip. 2. If damage is found after signing, retain all packaging and contact us within 72 hours with photos. 3. For quality issues within the warranty period, we can coordinate with the seller for returns/exchanges on your behalf.
Customs authorities conduct random inspections of international parcels. If your parcel is selected, customs may contact the recipient to provide invoices or clearance documents. Failure to cooperate may result in the parcel being returned or destroyed at the recipient cost.
If a parcel fails customs inspection in South Africa or cannot be delivered, it will be returned to our China warehouse. Return shipping costs are borne by the customer.
If a parcel fails domestic China security checks before international shipment, it will be returned. We will contact you to resolve the issue.

Purchasing & Forwarding Service Disclaimer Introduction ChinaShip is an international purchasing and package forwarding service platform that assists users in purchasing products from third-party Chinese e-commerce websites and arranging international shipment. ChinaShip does not manufacture, own, or directly sell any products listed on third-party platforms. To help ensure smooth processing and delivery of your orders, the following disclaimer and service terms apply to all purchasing and forwarding services provided by ChinaShip. By submitting a purchasing or forwarding order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted the following terms. 1. Restricted & Sensitive Items Certain products may be subject to shipping restrictions due to airline regulations, customs policies, or destination country import requirements. Restricted or sensitive items may include, but are not limited to: * Essential oils * Liquids and powders * Lubricants and contact lens solutions * Batteries and electronic products * Glue, chemicals, or flammable materials * Food, medicine, and health-related products To improve shipping success rates and comply with transportation regulations, certain restricted components may need to be removed prior to shipment, or shipment may be refused where necessary. Customers are responsible for understanding and complying with the import regulations of their destination country. 2. Customs & Import Risks International shipments may be subject to customs inspections, import restrictions, taxes, duties, delays, or seizure by customs authorities. Products such as liquids, powders, battery-powered items, food, medicine, and other regulated goods may carry increased customs clearance risks. ChinaShip cannot guarantee successful customs clearance and shall not be held responsible for: * Customs delays * Import rejection * Product confiscation * Additional taxes or duties * Legal consequences arising from restricted or prohibited goods All customs-related risks remain the responsibility of the customer. 3. Product Inspection Limitation ChinaShip provides basic warehouse inspection services only. For products such as: * Electronics * Branded goods * Tickets or cards * Models or collectible items * Specialized or technical products we are unable to perform professional inspections regarding authenticity, quality, functionality, completeness, or legality. Our warehouse staff may only verify: * whether the external packaging appears intact, * whether visible accessories are included, and * whether the item generally matches the order description. We are unable to power on, test, authenticate, or professionally evaluate products. 4. Fragile Goods Fragile or irregularly shaped products, including but not limited to: * Glass products * Ceramic items * Decorative goods * Vehicle accessories * Long or irregularly shaped items may be exposed to multiple handling stages during international transportation and therefore carry increased risk of damage or breakage. ChinaShip will ensure that items are properly packaged before shipment. However, if damage occurs during transportation and is determined by the logistics provider to be related to the fragile nature of the product, the resulting loss shall be borne by the customer. Customers are advised to purchase such items at their own discretion. 5. Customized Products For customized or made-to-order products, customers are strongly advised to communicate directly with the seller regarding specifications, designs, sizes, colors, logos, or other requirements before placing an order. Customers may be required to provide seller contact information, chat records, or confirmation details to facilitate the purchasing process. Due to the customized nature of such products, ChinaShip cannot provide professional quality verification or guarantee that the final product will fully meet customer expectations. Any disputes or losses related to customized products shall remain the responsibility of the customer. 6. Counterfeit Goods Policy ChinaShip strictly prohibits the purchasing or forwarding of counterfeit, illegal, or prohibited goods. While ChinaShip may display or help users search for products from third-party e-commerce platforms such as Taobao and similar marketplaces, ChinaShip is not the seller of these products and does not control third-party merchants or listings. Although we make reasonable efforts to filter suspicious listings and restrict certain keywords, counterfeit or unauthorized products may still occasionally appear on third-party platforms. If any suspected counterfeit goods are identified during the purchasing process, ChinaShip reserves the right to: * refuse the purchase request, * cancel the order, * refuse shipment, or * arrange product return procedures where applicable. Customers are encouraged to avoid purchasing suspicious products and to report any potentially counterfeit listings to us immediately. 7. Third-Party Platform Disclaimer All products purchased through ChinaShip originate from independent third-party sellers and platforms. As a purchasing and forwarding service provider, ChinaShip is not responsible for: * product quality, * authenticity, * intellectual property compliance, * seller conduct, * product safety, or * after-sales guarantees provided by third-party merchants. However, we will make reasonable efforts to assist customers in communicating with sellers and resolving disputes where possible. 8. User Responsibility Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that purchased products comply with all applicable laws and regulations in their destination country or region. ChinaShip shall not be liable for any losses, penalties, legal liabilities, or damages resulting from: * prohibited imports, * restricted products, * intellectual property violations, * customs violations, or * non-compliance with local laws. 9. International Shipping Risks International transportation involves risks that are beyond the control of ChinaShip, including but not limited to: * shipping delays, * customs inspections, * flight or transportation disruptions, * lost parcels, * force majeure events, * political or regulatory changes, * carrier operational issues. ChinaShip shall not be held liable for losses or delays resulting from such circumstances. 10. Unused balances may be refunded upon request, except where pending transactions exist.
